Shopping Cart for Dwarfism

Industrial Design

My industrial design graduation project focused on addressing the daily challenges faced by individuals with dwarfism, an often overlooked minority. I chose to design a shopping cart tailored to their needs, considering difficulties in reaching shelves, placing items in the cart, and interacting with cashiers.

The cart's design also aligns with the brand identity of Extra, part of the Pão de Açúcar Group, incorporating their colors and layout. The goal was to provide practical solutions for the daily tasks dwarfism individuals encounter, such as using ATMs, public phones, and shopping in supermarkets.
